Science Investigations 

Here are Yr5/6 investigating the question ‘Why do penguins huddle?’. We used our science skills to test out our hypotheses and used tests tubes as our ‘penguins’. We found that the test tubes in the ‘huddle’ stayed warmer for longer than the test tube that was left on its own. 

Football First

Yr5/6 took up the challenge to take their hardest shot at goal. There were some incredibly powerful efforts! 

River Study on the River Ilston 

We had a great time following the course of the River Ilston down to Three Cliffs Bay where we studied the river depths and speed of the river. We got wet but had a great time. 

Activity Day at Swiss Valley Reservoir 

We feel very lucky to have such a beautiful place right on our doorstep and it was great to spend a day enjoying activities such as canoeing, orienteering and bushcraft.
